The members of a post-collegiate love triangle cope with one of life's major turning points, learning to take chances and to accept the consequences of those decisions. A story of transitions, set to an of-the-moment indie-rock score.

 DEMI FRAGALE (Julie) is thrilled to be working on SOUTH HALL again after appearing in the Ann Arbor production! A recent graduate of the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Department, Demi is an actress living and working in New York City. Favorite roles include Carrie in CAROUSEL (U of M), Mary Jane in BIG RIVER (U of M). Regional Theatre: The MUNY, Weston Playhouse, Riverwalk Theatre. Demi has appeared in Scott Alan's Monday Nights New Voices Series at the Duplex, and Brandon Cutrell and Cohorts Cabaret at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Thank you to Toby, Friends and Family! KYLA SCHOER (Mallory) is delighted to be a part of South Hall. Kyla hails originally from NYC and holds her BFA in Music Theatre from The Hartt School. has performed at such regional theatres as Goodspeed Opera House, Hartford Stage, Papermill Theatre, and Millbrook Playhouse. Favorite roles include Natalie (All Shook Up), Ilona Ritter (She Loves Me), and Becky Bakowski (Do Black Patent Leather Shoes...?). Thanks to Toby, Heidi, and the cast...and of course, to friends and family.

A.J. SHIVELY (David) was last seen a school bully, an angst-ridden “apathist,” and Mick Jagger in Joe Iconis’ REWRITE at Urban Stages. He has performed at the Metropolitan Opera House, NYMF 2008, The Lucille Lortel, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, and the Minetta Lane Theatre, as well as in the Broadway Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. He is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan’s Musical Theatre Program. Go Blue!


  TOBY SINGER (Composer) is a songwriter and musician based in Brooklyn, NY.  He has written and arranged for choirs, Jewish music ensembles and rock bands.  His musical Friday night service Shabbat ScatterShot was performed as part of the 2007 Piccolo Spoleto Festival.  South Hall is his first full length musical.  Toby is a 2005 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, and is a lifelong Wolverine.  Thanks to my family and friends for the incredible support.

  HEIDI HANDELSMAN (Director) has directed new plays at Manhattan Theatre Source, the NY Fringe and Fringe Encore Series, the Samuel French Festival, the Midtown Festival, and elsewhere. She hosts and curates The Potluck (a play-reading series) from her living room (read about it at myspace.com/potluckplays). She is a New Georges Affiliated Artist and a member of the Literary Wing at the Lark. Heidi recently served as the SDCF Observer on the new musical adaptation of THE TOXIC AVENGER, now playing at New World Stages. Upcoming: the world premiere of BIRD HOUSE, by Kate Marks.
